Like @Kris Jackson, I love, love, love my Eight Sleep. I have the Pod4 cover, not the mattress. At the advanced age of...mumble, mumble, I still get night sweats, and the Eight Sleep makes my life bearable. It does not prevent them, but it does make them very short and manageable. There is now a Hot Flash Mode; all you have to do is tap the side of the mattress four times and it turns on! I would reduce my grocery budget before parting with it.
I am in the thick of perimenopause night sweats. Melissa’s description is exactly it—I wake up sweating but not necessarily hot. I’ve started HRT but I still have night sweats 😩. Eight sleep is an investment and I’ve been so hesitant for this reason!
If we could post pictures, I’d show you the readouts. It adjusts to you while you’re asleep. And then tells you how many adjustments it made in the morning. Right before my period (now, for example) I tend to have more adjustments because of hormones. FWIW, I’m on the highest dose patch, and 300 progesterone. In a week or so, I’m going to add testosterone, and I am so excited! I’ve been in peri for going on NINE YEARS. 😭
If you go through Affirm, which I did, you can get 0% interest for 36 months, if you qualify. I just paid mine off and it was well worth it. (And I do surveys and feedback with Eight Sleep too, which has no bearing on price, but they do want to hear from us.)
I have the Pod 3 because I did not want or need the whole bed shebang.
Hi Kris, I’m circling back because my 8 sleep arrived and I’m wondering if you could help me with what settings to use or what settings you like? I wasn’t sure if I should set it to automatic or put in my own setting? Would love to hear everyone’s experiences! @Leah Lion and @Melissa Urban
Hi! YAY!!!! I would suggest sleeping on it and letting it learn you for a week or so. My settings change slightly in the colder months. And I am a person who wakes up hot and goes to bed cold. Like, I’m exothermic all day. For the moment, I go to bed with it on warm (I use the +/- buttons and not temperature, so +3) and then it goes down to 0 when I fall asleep and usually stays there for wake up. I do NOT want to wake up hot, because that makes me panicky. YMMV!
Also, I adore the vibrate awake function. I never have to hear another alarm again.
In all honesty i thought you were talking about the Eight Sleep initially...
The Eight Sleep is undoubtedly the worst sleep product i've ever tried.
As someone who works extensively developing sleep products and is from a family of mattress and bed manufacturers i have never experienced a more uncomfortable, loud and inaccurate tracking on a product. I'm was gifted the product by the brand and they were not really interested in my feedback. Mine is only one experience but id advise anyone to tread carefully when buying such an expensive product..
I bought the Chilipad at your earliest recommendation and had issues with it at first. It’d turn off by itself and kept losing water somehow. After a bit of back and forth they sent me an upgraded version (Ooler) for my side of the bed. I solve app so just use the buttons on it but it’s worked well since. The old version on my husband’s side still loses water like crazy (maybe evaporation?) and it’s loud but is still working. We’ll ride these out until they die because he’s always cold and I’m always hot, but will check out the Eight when we have to get a new one.
This is how I feel about the Ozlo Sleepbuds. I absolutely loved them and spread the word. Then I installed the first update and they went South on me. Most nights they drop off and they need to be taken out of the ears, & put back in the case to reconnect them. No fun at 2:00 a.m. The other issue that popped up after the update is they would disconnect when I was listening to my own choice of content and when that stopped and went back to the basic sound they disconnected. The second update fixed none of these issues.Customer Service was gracious but wanted me to document everything and do a ton of research.
OH NO. I’m sorry you had this experience! I’ve not had any issues and have heard few complaints compared to the number of raves, but I do pass EVERY complaint I hear along to the marketing department. I’ll share this one as well
So appreciate your vulnerability and honesty with the first brand. None of us is perfect but it takes a lot of character to admit when things fall short. Happy to hear that Eight is working out well for the long haul!
Well you knocked it out the park with your Ozlo rec. I had been considering them for a while but your review tipped the scale. They are the quiet luxury in life I didn’t know I needed. I tried Ozlo and Anker. Ozlo won by far!
Of course! I just had to wait a bit to talk about it. It’s the one “deal” that has made me feel regret for influencing, although I never could have known how things would go.

I love, love, love my Eight Sleep and recommend it to every perimenopausal woman I meet! I should be a Brand Ambassador, at this rate.

I’d ride it out as well! No reason to toss it if it’s still working, even if it’s not perfect

Thank you kindly, Melissa.

I appreciate that. I hated how this turned out, personally and professionally

Oh I'm THRILLED to hear it! They truly are a game-changer for sleep and also how much I like my husband in the morning
Thank you for sharing! Always appreciate your honesty and transparency.
