Summer. I hate Summer. Sure, going on vacation for a week if I can even afford vacation is nice. But then it’s over. My son is home for the summer, while his parents have to work and hustle. Camps are unaffordable. It’s hot as heck, too hot to go outside. More daylight means you have to “optimize” every hour of the day. Swimming in heavily chlorinated pools ruins my skin and hair. Is it Fall yet? I just want to go for a Fall walk, and watch an NFL game with a blanket and call it a day.
Lindsay I feel this deeply. At this point in the summer I’m BEGGING it to rain so I can do stuff around the house. Also it’s too hot to take the dogs out for most of the day—too hot to take myself out too!
Summer is definitely not my favorite. There are a couple/few things I enjoy about it but if I were in charge of the seasons we would have fall for 6 months.

Love that you added the babies. I'm getting blown up with baby photos from friends and I can't help thinking ... but show me your puppy???!

I love eating at a restaurant at 430 with all the "old farts". The music is not deafening. The staff are not rushed. Agreed with the 18 year old female hero. Baby girl is just stepping into the world and suddenly she has unlimited power? Skills? The ability to lead massive armies? Just no.😂
I’m about to cut out music festivals as well after I attended one at 32 weeks pregnant. Where there was no shelter and it rained the whole first day. I had to ride a bike to and from because the public transportation couldn’t handle the influx of visitors. TBD!
The Fourth of July! Too hot and drunk men setting off professional explosives in their backyards terrifies me (not to mention I've been feeling a lot less patriotic the past ten years ha).
Jamie Lee Curtis once asked why can't concerts start at 4...play 2 hours and everyone is home in bed by 9:30 !! I'm with you on concerts...except Springsteen...I will do whatever I have to see him.
Listen, TPain came out and told us he only had the venue until X pm and he knew that us old folks needed to get home to bed so he was gonna get started and not keep us too late. I appreciated it LOL
So funny - when Melissa said no concerts I was thinking “except Springsteen”. No opening act! Starts on time! Can’t help you with being in bed by 9:00 since he plays for at least 3 hours but for him it’s worth it.
I am not a huge concert goer but since meeting my now husband (got married 6/26 and am still giddy, so throwing that in here 😆) I have been enjoying shows at smaller venues or more relaxed vibes. But I absolutely cannot stand an encore. Just play your last song and say goodnight. Why the act? We all know you are coming back for one more.
Indian food and getting my nails done. I’m done pretending. And, agree on concerts. I’ve tried with concerts, I used to enjoy but not lately. I’m done trying.
