Camping….in a tent…sleeping on the ground. I’m so so so done. I love to hike….and I REALLY loving hiking back to my nice hotel to have a hot bath, a good meal, and maybe even a massage.
Children's birthday parties. Giving up 3-4 hours of my day to make awkward small talk while being overstimulated? No, thank you. I will only do this for a select group of friends, now.
Yes to all of those except Italian food. I desperately want to like concerts again, but alas, I do not. I will go for my bucket list people, but it feels like a chore.
Concerts (I deal with it for my teen daughter but only recently). Noise, crowds, unknown spaces, parking, everything is overpriced, no personal space.
Reality TV other than specific cooking shows. I can’t handle bitchy competitions.
Beaches - same reasons. I like being surrounded by trees and looking at a lake (I’m in Minnesota, so we have a lot of them), but I don’t need to go in the water. Occasionally I’ll kayak or canoe, but only 1 week a year on our extended family vacation.
Christmas shopping and all the prep involved over the whole month. Especially the unbalanced load that women take on (even when we ask for the help.) I end up resenting it. All the parties that we have to make food for and then small talk at.
Heels or any form of uncomfortable clothing. Tight waist? Eww.
I agree with ALMOST all of your's. I live in San Diego, but my limitations on beach time are almost identical. I never had kids, so never had to make an exception for my own baby. But I still LOVE Italian food! And I won't try to change your mind. I'm only mediocre on most Asian foods, which most seem to love. I do love Indian and Thai cuisine though.
I laughed out loud at “what do you even do?” Although I happen to love going to the beach.
My 21 year old daughter was trying to convince me recently that super sexy push up bras were still appropriate for me (I’m 58). I didn’t have the heart to tell her that notwithstanding the saggy boobs she and her sister contributed to, my interest in super sexy push up bras is zilch, zip, nada. If I could get away with never wearing a bra again, I would be that inappropriate chick with her breasts flapping at Trader Joe’s.
Games. Playing board games, card games, etc. I don’t like the structure and I don’t want to learn the rules. This especially goes for mahjong - no thank you!
My god, you've echoed my feeling about the beach. I love the ocean. It's the only naturally occurring water I will enter. Then I want to sit in a sheltered structure with a floor.
I agree 1000% with beaches, late dinners and YA books. But concerts definitely tops my list. If I'm going to spend a lot of money I want a comfy seat, great sound quality and to be done by 9. The only big crowd I always say yes to is a baseball game. I adore baseball.
For my list I'll add any romance/spicy book and romcom movies. Nicholas Sparks, big nope on his books AND movies. Just too painfully corny and predictable for me. Give me a good murder who-done-it book any day.
Nicholas Sparks and especially The Notebook! 😂 I also don’t like amateur fireworks, driving in snow, skiing, Real Housewives of anywhere, and eating late.
But do give me summer and the beach and Italian food!🥰

1. Crocs. They're ugly, uncomfortable, and make my feet stink. No thanks!
2. Pumpkin spice anything
3. Huge fake eyelashes - strip, clusters, or extensions. Just WHY?
Love this list! I enjoy the beach, but early mornings or late night when no one else is around!

I don’t like chocolate. I kind of wish I did. But I don’t like how it tastes, and never have.
Halloween! Like most holidays, it has gotten out of control. I hate dressing in a costume and don't get why adults are so into this. It's weird.
I feel this list in my bones!

We’ll leave it at that for now 😂

Thanks for always keeping it real!

Real Housewives is AWFUL!
I agree with everything except I love babies. I want to hold them, cuddle them, sing to them. Miss those years.
