I value your opinion. I read what you wrote about clear protein. Obviously its highly processed. Would you recommend this to someone for added protein? I am someone who eats chomps beefsticks daily, but feel like added protein wouldn't hurt, really just wondering your recommendation?
I am a fan of simpler protein powders, as it allows you to add more protein to your day in a way that fits with a variety of lifestyle and limitations. For teachers, healthcare workers, people who exercise, people who travel a lot, protein powders can be a great supplement to your meals.
That said, you need to find the form of protein that works the best for you. Not everyone tolerates whey protein well, and if you don’t, let me tell you, it is a bathroom nightmare. I prefer plant based proteins, primarily from pea protein, as I tolerated well, and it is a relatively dense source of protein, compared to other plant based sources. You could also try a soy protein… they now have beef protein, although I have not tried it.
If you’ve done the Whole30, you should have an idea that to the sources that work best for you. Otherwise, you can buy smaller sample of various forms of protein (whey, pea, plant-based mix, soy) to test them out.
I prefer protein powder with low added sugar, so I would still encourage you to read your labels here.
"Happily, raw milk is not trending anywhere except your local urgent care clinic.” 😆😆😆
