I'm so glad! It really is about what you want from your device, and how you plan to use it. WHOOP just has so much versatility, and they make it so easy to keep the thing on and recording data 24/7.
I appreciate that! I do like to stay active, but so many people say, "I 'only' walk, do yoga, and occasionally ride my bike, would I benefit from WHOOP?" That's why I so often say you don't have to be an athlete! It helps with so much, from stress management to sleep to identifying stressful parts of your everyday life.
I have been an Apple Watch user for the last 6 years. I was recently looking at the ring but was confused how people could lift with it. I primarily use the watch for activities and integrate Peloton and Strava into it. Would you suggest sticking with the watch or would Whoop be better for data? I do notice that it stops tracking my sleep as soon as I turn my alarm off, even though I sometimes sleep past it.
Love this comparison! I have similar annoyances with the Oura ring, but I love it for the interface and fertility tracking with Natural Cycles. That, and I have a free lifetime membership as an early adopter. I would love to see them come out with other wearable options, or for WHOOP to integrate with more apps.
You sure can! I wear WHOOP on one arm and my watch on the other. You could also stick your WHOOP in your sports bra, leggings, underwear, or on a bicep strap--they sell a ton of accessories. But I just split them one/one.
I wear a watch on one and WHOOP on the other wrist, too! I felt a little dorky for a week or so but the WHOOP is pretty low-profile. I really love my Garmin watch so I don’t want to give it up. This feels like the best of both worlds for me.
Okay this was so interesting and really helped me understand the differences between the two! Ty!!

Great review, very thorough. And you ARE an athlete!! You're just not a professional athlete.

That free lifetime membership is clutch! So many people were upset when they moved to a subscription service with Gen 3.
Thanks for this info. Question-can I wear a whoop strap still wear my Coros* watch every day? (*Competitor to Garmin-I’m a marathoner).
