This is so helpful. I tried to love trail runners because everyone around me wore them, but I just feel more secure & stable in boots! I hope you’ll include what kind of animal protection/safety things in the pack guide. I’m always looking for the best options. Thanks!

Footwear is SO personal. You should wear what makes you feel the most comfortable and stable, and what works best for your feet. I have a whole post on animal safety (because it very much depends where you're hiking), I'll have to revive that one! Thanks for the reminder.

Even though I don’t hike, I love these lists. I enjoy walking in the woods, I just rarely make the time to do it! The obliger in me needs someone to invite me to go hiking.

If you're a meet-up kind of person, they have hiking meet-ups all the time (in all areas), sometimes for women-only. That might be a good way to get out there!

This was very helpful! What are your thoughts on doing something like this for paddleboarding? Or is there just not that much you need 🤨

Loved reading this list. And I’m curious about something I didn’t see listed.... underwear 😬 I’m not sure if your shorts have it built in but I’ve been searching for good ones for the more sweaty summer months.
